Rajasthan CM Hails "Nation First" as BJP's Guiding Light for India's Progress

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Saturday affirmed that "service to the nation and putting the country first" stand as the core principles of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership for steering India towards significant growth and an elevated global stature.

Addressing a training camp for the Jaipur city district, organised under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Maha Abhiyan, Chief Minister Sharma articulated that the repeated expressions of public trust in the BJP and Prime Minister Modi's leadership are a testament to these foundational tenets. He highlighted a pivotal shift in the political landscape, asserting that the "politics of development is now prevailing over appeasement," a change that is actively manifesting the vision of "Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat" (One India, Great India) across the nation.

Sharma's remarks emphasized that India's enhanced global standing is a direct outcome of the "nation first" policy and the visionary governance championed by Prime Minister Modi.

The 'Nation First' Ethos and Developmental Thrust

The "nation first" philosophy, deeply ingrained in the BJP's ideology, signifies a commitment to prioritising national interests, security, cultural heritage, and economic self-reliance above all else. This approach forms the bedrock of the party's policy-making and governance, aiming for a unified and prosperous India. The BJP's official ideology, Integral Humanism, formulated by Deendayal Upadhyaya in 1965, advocates for an indigenous economic model centered on human well-being and is committed to cultural nationalism, extending to all Indians irrespective of religion.

The Chief Minister further elaborated on the tangible impact of this ideology on governance, stating that development is reaching every village in Rajasthan under the "double-engine" government – a term often used to denote alignment and cooperation between the central and state governments led by the same party. He cited numerous welfare schemes as examples of this commitment, including the provision of tap water connections to every household, housing for the poor, financial assistance to farmers, and pivotal initiatives like Ujjwala and Ayushman Bharat. These programs, he noted, are instrumental in realizing the party's objective of inclusive growth.

Uplifting the Last Person: Antyodaya's Vision

In line with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya's philosophy of 'Antyodaya' – the upliftment of the last person in the queue – Sharma urged party workers to diligently communicate these achievements to every household. This directive underscores the BJP's overarching goal of ensuring that the benefits of governance and development permeate all strata of society, especially the most vulnerable.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister called upon party cadres to dedicate themselves towards achieving the ambitious vision of a developed India by 2047, coinciding with 100 years of India's independence. This long-term vision encompasses robust industrial growth, investment promotion, and economic expansion, as evidenced by Rajasthan's recent policy initiatives. For instance, the Rajasthan government has recently launched the Rajasthan Industrial Development Policy, the Rajasthan Aerospace and Defence Policy, and the Rajasthan Semiconductor Policy, aiming to transform the state into a global industrial hub and a manufacturing powerhouse. These policies, based on the "4G" pillars of Green, Governance, Growth, and Globalisation, target taking the state economy to $350 billion by 2028-29.

This holistic approach, integrating nationalistic principles with concrete developmental agendas, reflects the BJP's consistent efforts to translate its core ideology into tangible progress and public welfare. The emphasis on 'nation first' serves not merely as a slogan, but as a comprehensive framework guiding policy decisions, fostering economic growth, ensuring social justice, and enhancing India's standing on the world stage.
